More new features!?!?!


YES. More new features have crept its way into the game!

These will be going out to my testers soon but here's a brief rundown of some of the new features and other notable changes coming to version 0.5;

  • Cursor in battle - In battle, when selecting a target to attack or use a skill/item on, the character flashes white which isn't always easy to see. Now however, there's a cursor which is clear as day to see!
  • More information when saving - You can now see more detailed information during the save screen such as playtime etc.
  • Improved shop menu - While shopping, more information is given about items and/or weapons and armour such as the base stats of the item as well as what impact it can have on your party members.
  • Scaled enemy levels - The enemies now scale to your level! Enemies won't always be a cake-walk later in the game anymore thanks to their level increasing just like yours do :P
  • Rochwood re-design - As it says, Rochwood has been redesigned! Not in the sense that the layout has changed, just the way it looks.
  • Game start changed - The start of the game has now been changed to be night time rather than day.

There are more things planned for the game but until they've been successfully implemented, I won't make any promises I can't keep!


NOW, although all these new features are cool and everything, it does mean that extra testing is needed and possibly more time to implement the features I eluded to above, meaning that the expected release for 0.5 has been pushed back. Taking into consideration the amount of stuff I want to pack into 0.5 as well as the holiday season, I would estimate a release date of around end of Dec to the beginning of Jan. Don't hate me!!!
